Who we are
Lumenyn Ltd (company number 17554200, registered office 50 The Nettlefolds, Hadley, Telford, England, TF1 5PF) makes the Lumenyn apps and is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
The short version
- No Lumenyn account. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your videos stay on your phone. We don't upload, see or store them.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses some device data. You choose your consent where the law requires it.
- Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see your card details.
- We don't sell your personal data.
This policy covers Lumenyn Video Downloader and Player, Lumenyn Video Player and Lumenyn Video Editor. Lumenyn Fit has its own privacy policy, because it collects nothing at all.
Data collected by our video apps
Advertising (Google AdMob and consent)
Free versions show ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location from IP, device and app information, and ad interactions, to show, measure and limit ads and prevent fraud. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland we ask for your consent first using Google's User Messaging Platform; you can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Pro users don't see ads. See how Google uses data from partner apps.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Subscriptions and purchases go through Google Play. Google processes your payment. We receive only a purchase token and status so the app can unlock Pro. See Google's privacy policy.
Crash logs
If an app crashes, a log is saved on your phone. It is only sent to us if you choose to share it, for example by email from Settings › Help. It contains technical details (device model, Android version, app version, error trace) and no videos.
App-specific details
Lumenyn Video Downloader and Player
- Browser: the built-in browser connects directly to sites you visit. We don't keep or receive your browsing history. Websites you visit may set cookies under their own policies; you can clear them in Settings.
- Downloads are saved to your phone's storage and never sent to us.
- Permissions: internet and network state (to browse, download and load ads); notifications (download progress); foreground service (to keep downloads and background playback running); access to your videos (to show and play them, only what you allow).
Lumenyn Video Player
- Reads the videos on your phone to show the gallery and play them. Nothing is uploaded.
- Shows AdMob ads unless you buy the one-off Pro unlock through Google Play.
Lumenyn Video Editor
- All editing and AI features (frame interpolation, loops, background removal, captions) run on your phone and work offline. Your videos and audio are never uploaded.
- Optional downloads, such as a larger speech model or sticker packs, are fetched from our servers or Google Play; these requests include your IP address and app version, as any web request does, and nothing else about you.
- Shows AdMob ads (including optional rewarded ads to remove a watermark) unless you subscribe to Pro.
Lumenyn Fit
Lumenyn Fit has no servers, accounts, analytics or ads. Read the Lumenyn Fit privacy policy.
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
Ad personalisation: your consent. Purchases and core app functions: performing our contract with you. Fraud prevention and crash diagnosis you share: our legitimate interests.
Keeping and deleting data
We hold no account data. Shared crash logs and support emails are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. To delete app data, uninstall the app or clear its storage. See Delete your data.
Children
Our video apps aren't directed at children under 13. Lumenyn Fit is for adults aged 18 and over.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or object to processing, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
